...so...a cook is staying in a weekly hotel, when...

..it's got a hot plate, a fridge, and here are some blurry pics of us moving in. We will upload clear pics upon attaining a cord for the whole camera to computer situation ;)

Is it weird that my biggest issue was not being able to cook? I felt so...incapacitated.

The blurry...

clearer...

and the fridge.

Can you believe we've been here for less than 48 hours?

This seems fitting. "Road to Nowhere" Talking Heads

I feel so disoriented for you guys....on a hot plate note though I have made some fantastic things on a hot plate and with a toaster oven so there is hope..

Thanks! Yeah, I've been stinking up the whole floor ;)

All is going well, the hotel is really cool, I'm cooking again so this will turn back into a food blog, soon!

1. I'm still glad you guys are OK..
2. Glad you have a place to stay!
3. Went to a David Byrne concert a few years ago, and became a huge fan!
Hope you are home soon...

You poor guys! Do you know how long it'll be until you'll be back home? Hopefully the cooking, even if it is on a hot plate, will be comforting.

When do you get to go home?

Love the mishmash of stuff in the fridge....particularly the wine and peanut butter!

I totally understand the feelings about cooking. Every time we move, I can't wait to cook that first meal.

I hope y'all are back in your home soon!

Will it take a long time until you get back to your house? I keep thinking about all the things you have done, did it get a lot of damage?

Buffalo--aren't they great?? I love the Talking Heads :)

Maggie--thanks! They've said 3-4 months. We're planning on moving into the fixer upper house--not even I can handle 3 months of hotel living ;)

Blonde--3-4 months! Hopefully it will go more quickly than that :)

Tommie--there's something so nice about a bit of normal routine--a bottle of wine helps, too :)

Annette--Well, I didn't think it was THAT bad, but everything has to be moved out, stored, and they'll be working on the house for months. Crazy!!

OMG, sorry for not visiting soon to express my appreciation that you are both okay. I can only imagine how frightening that must have been. So very sorry.

There is a personal chef in NJ that can drive down at your beckon call! She travels with her own burners, and a case of fuel, pots and pans...what ever you need!
