If you go down I-80 through Nebraska, stop at a place called Harold Warp's Pioneer Village. It's a great look at life in the 1800s. They also had a cool collection of old cars there, if you like them (I do).
Speaking of cars, did your poor little Ranger ever come home?

Jeeze, you're right :/ For some reason I was on a Colorado kick--I think the heat here is getting to me.
Maybe we'll switch the Northern route to a Southern route because Gustavo really wanted to hit New Orleans, too...

aww Marjie, that old, beat up Ford Ranger is probably parted out to many happy trucks, I hope. I still keep the key on my chain "just in case"
