Rock and Roll, Sourdough and Christmas!

Making ornaments to trim the tree

This picture isn't that impressive--but I guarantee this is the absolute best loaf of sourdough I have ever made!

And though seemingly unrelated, vegetable stew and grilled cheese on sourdough is an excellent hangover cure ;)

I have to get drunk and get a hangover before I get some? Well, seems like a lot of work, but, OK!

I love sourdough bread. My dad used to make his own sour dough starter and bake so many wonderful breads...I miss that. A grilled cheese on sour dough bread would be wonderful right now.

Blonde Duck--we're there! Come on over :)

Michelle--we try!

Katherine--I've been working on my starter for months, now--and I think I've finally got the right flavor. This has definitely been a project, though ;)

How did you start your soudrdough starter?

My grandmother always had some stinky stuff on her fridge. Now I know it was her starter. I have never tried sourdough.
