We made the beds with a variety of plates, skateboard, rocks, other plants, bowls, and various lids.
Decided to get some tomato and pepper seedlings to make it look a bit more garden-y.

Our cacti are also blooming. We have about 5 baby cacti and a bunch of propagated spider plants, too, to give to friends.
Ahh, I love spring.

I love the use of plates for the "fence." I hope to one day start my own little garden. I barely have room to put plants in my place as it is. I think it's time for a move. :)
Love the plates! What a great idea. Ahhh. Spring. It rocks. - mary
AUGGGHHH I've missed you guys!!!!!!!! Your garden... is just so lovely!!! I want to roll around in it!!!
Jenn--I had years and years of potted gardens and leggy tomato plants that never fruited :( You're in such a good climate, though--I bet you could do some tomatoes.
Food Librarian--Thanks! Yes, I am so happy about the warm weather.
Jesse!!!!!!!! You're BACK :D I'm so happy--can't wait to hear of your adventures :D

IT's so pretty!
We don't have that kind of spring yet! It is supposed to be sunny and 70 this weekend - I hope! But planting outside is still at least 3 weeks away, and "experts" would say not until early May. With sleet currently falling, I'm just jealous of your flowers.
And yes, my Wall Tree does flower.
Hope your garden grows like mad this year!
Oooo... a glimpse of what's to come. If I weren't saving plates for a future mosaic project, I would seriously consider a "plate fence" genius!!!
I too must wait about 3 weeks before planting outside; and, that's pushing it. Soon, very soon:)
Thanks for the bright evening sparkle Tavolini. It sure is going to be a GREAT gardening year.
I forgot to ask if your Ranger ever came home. I see a little black car in front of your house. Poor Ranger!
I love the little cactus.
Aahh! I love the idea about the plates around the beds! And I feel so envious that spring has come so far where you live! In Norway snow is still melting, and it's too early to plant anything.
WOW wasn't it expensive using plates? cool idea
So jealous!! I wish I had SOMETHING that bloomed! I'd love a garden.
