Bogota, Part II La Candelaria, Centro, Art and Monserrate

I'm mostly going to let the photos talk, here.

All animals love Tavo
Our hotel in La Candelaria had extremely disturbing art that we had to take down from the wall and hide during our stay...
Showerheads are overrated.

View was excellent

Museo de Arte Moderno (MAMBO) had a great show by Pedro Ruiz called Oro--could not find a decent link, but here are a few pieces.

Across from the Biblioteca Nacional
I look just like this librarian when I'm at work ;)

Mateo the Llama
Taking the cable car to Monserrate

Can't remember what type this was--but this ice cream was super fantastic!

Yea, that pic needed to GO! I love the look on Tavo's face too--like "ewwww, I can't believe i'm touching this thing!" Too Funny!

I really really love these pictures! What an incredible range of visual interest! The new header is awesome too. The librarian one made me laugh. :) I feel like that at work sometimes too. (Except it's because I'm checking over my shoulder cause I'm sneakin' in some bloggin') ;)

Random thought: Why do llamas always look like they're grinning? Cool car on the cobblestone street. Glad you remembered your camera this time.

Fantastic pictures, the street art is touching. What is the white plant? A white cactus? Tavo on the llama - love it!

Buffalo--you hit the nail on the head :)

Jenn--yeah, we are both cuckoo for graffiti--but not so much for scary art in the bedroom ;)

Snow and Girli--thanks! There was so much to see--I cut out of ton of pics, and still feel like I'm overwhelming you guys!

Marjie--there was another llama there, with buck teeth. Cutest little guy in the world!

Katherine--I don't know what the plants were, but they were just gorgeous! Soft, not like a cactus at all.

I like the llama. And the ice cream. :)

Don't like freaky picture...I probably would have replaced it with ducks! :)

Breathtaking. The street art is particularly interesting. I always enjoy your pictures.

Was the street art that widely present or did you capture the "best examples" kind of thing?

This looks like a awesome trip.

You guys know how to vacation! Take me with you next time. Or bring me back a llama. Either way. :)

Love the pictures. Good times.

Tried to post condolences on your last post, and couldn't.. Please accept them, as I mourn with all who lost someone dear to them.
