a pretty song and a tomato pie (pizza pie, of course)

It's raining down hard, here, and this is one of my favorite types of evening. I don't have to work tomorrow. It's warm enough to have every window open, yet cool enough you don't need a fan. The smell of rain, plants, and life seems to harmonize with the faint sounds of a passing train and the nearby interstate.

Here's a song I just listened to--I loved it on its own, but I also enjoy seeing the "pop up video" facts. I'm a big fan of James Taylor, but I really love it when he sings with Carly Simon.

And with our garden tomatoes, we made some pizza. Ridiculously tomato pizza! It was sweet, literally. There is very little I like more than wheat dough with fresh, roasted tomatoes.

I LOVE fresh tomato on a pizza. I'd have that over any other topping. Lucky that you can use tomatoes from your own garden.

The video reminds me of that show that used to play in VH1 that did all the video facts in bubbles. Good song!

Home grown tomatoes are so superior to store bought!

Doggy--isn't that a pretty song?

Jenn--Yeah, I totally think tomato on pizza is a good way to go! I loved watching "Pop Up Video" on VH1 :)

Buffalo--absolutely true!

Carly Simon and James Taylor singing together are memories from when i was a kid.

Your pizza looks fantastic and I'm sure it tasted just wonderful using those perfectly ripe tomatoes.

Love your new header!

I am waiting in great anticipation for my tomatoes! My little guy has counted over 200, although he doesn't differentiate between cherry tomatoes and big ones in his count!
