First--the eats. We are still eating mostly take out and sandwiches. The definite highlight of last week was Caribbean food. I had jerk tofu, cabbage, green beans and a plantain.
Tavo had jerk chicken, mac and cheese, and sweet yams. It was incredible!
Our fence sections came in on Friday. We decided to pay the extra and just purchase the sections.
I went to work on our gross old cabinets. Wipe down with antiseptic and slap on a coat of kilz, cleans it right up. Have any of you painted cabinets? Any suggestions on type of paint? Right now, I just wanted a base of cleanliness to work with.
Tavo, the speed demon, throws up fence in a matter of minutes!
I'm still putzing with cabinets. I can tell, at one point, there was quite the insect issue. Luckily, it wasn't any time recently!!
I caught him leveling the posts complete with flying post piece! Feel free to admire my "Paint" steez.
Nothing more fun than a sunny afternoon and a reciprocating saw.
Our buddy came over to replace my fender--looks swanky!
Roses!
Meanwhile, I'm laying the kitchen tile. We found a dark granite tile for just over a dollar per square foot. Looks awesome, but we're going to have to change that yellow paint...
Tavo unearthed an ancient Nehi Soda bottle in our yard.
Last night, it was CHILLY in Atlanta. Down to 30 degrees, so we pulled everything in to keep it from freezing. Here's Tavo, in our bedroom jungle.
Our roses, all covered up.
Check out my new t-shirt and the new kitchen tile! Thanks, Jessica, for the great shirt!
Here's a close up :)
Okay, now I'm ready for some spring time weather, PLEASE!!

You guys should have your own show on how to fix up houses-fast!
Doggy--indeed! We're having dreams of mixing mortar at this point...
Buffalo--fast?? Man, it seems like it's taking FOREVER :)
Wow you two are quite the team. The house looks wonderful; it;s coming along nicely.
I had to pull my plants and herbs in too. It's been snowing since 6:00AM...no too much is sticking though.
Katherine--Snow!!! Wow! No snow here, just chilly :)
I was happy to go to work, though--our house is an icebox!
I'm so impressed with how fast you're moving, both the floor and fence look great! What color are you thinking for the cabinets and walls in the kitchen?
Detroit had snow, it's nasty! I woke up to it on Monday and more came down today.
Yes, you guys are moving, and that tofu looked good, and that t-shirt is too cute!
