and some nights are for chinese take-out from Burger Win

This is one of those chinese food places attached to a gas station. If you can get past that factor, you'll quickly realize its one of the best in Atlanta. (The menu says "Burgers Win" but the actual restaurant is called "Burger Win")...and honestly, the burgers have very little to do with anything.
Shrimp dumplings, steamed.

Panang Curry Chicken, small order.
Broccoli & Bean Curd w. Garlic Sauce, spicy. Large order.
Now to relax and watch a movie!

and tell me all this was just about 10 bucks....the minimum for delivery?

It was about $15. $3 for the dumplings, $5 for the curry and $7 for the double order of bean curd and broccoli.

A gas station Burger joint that serves Chinese? Ain't America somethin'?

Why is a Chinese place named after a hamburger? I don't get it.

Aren't local joints the absolute best?

Buffalo--Indeed it is!!

Blonde Duck--Its really bizarre, isn't it? It's not the only one, either. Burger Joy is another gas station chinese food place in my neighborhood. Must be an Atlanta thing.

Darius--they ARE!

I wish my gas station sold food like this :)

Did you ever eat at Oklahoma Joe's when you lived in Kansas City? I avoided that place for so long because it was in a gas station only to find out that the BBQ was kind of good.

I love to go to this gas station here in Houston to get okra...

there is a BBQ place like that in KC, MO....gas station..?? You wonder what they are adding to the stuff. But it is GOOD! We tried all the big ones in Kansas City: Arthur Bryant, Gates.....but this one and a chain one were so much better!

wait a sec--Tommie--you lived in KC? And you ate at Oklahoma Joe's?? Alex and I met when we lived in KC--more than 10 years ago (and 5 cities, respectively)

This blogging thing definitely shows how small of world we are in!

It looks very nice, and with a good film as well, the night is perfect.

I met Husband while he was stationed at Ft Sill..I am from OK and swore I would never marry a soldier! Goes to say, never say never.

We were at Ft Leavenworth for an Army school from summer 05 to summer 06. When we first got there, we found a list of the top 10 BBQ places in KC. Since it was only 45 min away, we would try one a month. After hitting the big three we settled on our favorites and stuck with them.

If you are ever near Louisville, give me a hollar! If anything, you can get some good bourbon!

Anette--I agree!

Beth--yeah, they were good. Kind of strange, but most anything with shrimp is pretty agreeable to me :)

Tommie--I usually drive through Lexington on our way to visit my parents--I'll get in touch next time! That's a neat idea, hitting all the BBQ spots.
