paint was on sale....oh goodness

First, the eats. There was a festival in our neighborhood this weekend, so we made some picnic food to pack. This grilled veggie sandwich is huge--we're still working on it!
Sauteed portabellos, carmelized onions, roasted green peppers, eggplant, squash, avocado, tomato, olives, and italian dressing on a moroccan olive bread.
...weight it down for the night, we'll throw it in the oven to heat and eat tomorrow.

We have been fans of the artist, Felix Berroa for more than three years now. You should check out his website, he is really quite amazing. After much deliberation and a bit of saving--we decided to purchase a painting. Its incredible.

And now the paint. Tavo worked on the porch...

and I went for the bedroom...

Doggy--I don't know about the Modigliani, but yeah, that's about right. It was time to change up the old house.

Buffalo--Not too much guts, we can always paint over it if we get sick of it ;)

That sandwich looks like it is to die for!!

Love the porch, kind of festive. Makes you wonder what is in the house.

I remember the first piece of real art we bought. It was a lithograph from a native Alaskan artist. We have tried to get one piece in each place we have lived.

Wow! I always wanted to paint my own room with fun designs, but the closest thing my mom allowed me to do was paint it blue. Oh well...

Michelle Ann--come on over :)

Anndi--I've got you fooled, mine only took an hour or two. Tavo's the patient one...

Doggy--Firecracker? Yeah, that's about it.

Tommie--I bet your collection is pretty awesome! The sandwich was good. And big!

Pink--very much insane!! :)

Beth--we are cuckoo with a paint can--be careful what you ask for ;)

CCV--I got in trouble more than a few times for getting "creative" in my room. My trick was to get the whole room done before they got home from work ;)

What's with the projects? Are you guys bored or something? If you are come and hang out with Ryan and I, oh btw. we moved in together, you should come by for dinner or something. I'll try to cook but I doubt it will be as good as yours cooking.

Why don't you come to NY? I cook, you paint. Deal? Haha.

Bring some of that sandwich while you're at it. :-)
